This big 'ole rat snake was trying to weasel its way into the coop last night when I came home from ballet class. Nobody messes with my girls! We are fine with the snakes staying around the lake, but the house and the barn area is strictly a no tresspassing situation. Violators will be shot!

Sorry I jinxed you by showing you my snake picture! I have been told that you can get some deer netting and put it around the outside of the coop. Snakes can get into the netting but they can not get through it or wiggle their way back out. According to my source you will be surprised at what has been trying to get in that you have just not seen before. $19.99 for 7x110 at Tractor Supply... the store of choice for all good southern girls.
